Gazebo Request
Volunteers Week takes place at the beginning of June every year. This is when volunteer engaging organisations take the opportunity to recruit or reward volunteers by holding special events. Volunteer Centre West Lothian is planning a street fair in Bathgate Steelyard between 10am and 3pm on Friday 5th June. Anticipating the usual British summer, we are trying to borrow some gazebos to help keep stalls/volunteers/performers dry should the weather turn nasty. If you have a gazebo we could borrow, please let us know as soon as possible; we will be sure to return it to you after the event. Thanks for your assistance. We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Fun with Fabric - More Classes Starting Soon
This project has been developed to help reduce social isolation and to introduce people to the therapeutic effect of working with colour and texture in a relaxed, supportive environment. We aim to engage with and support those members of our community who are suffering from a depressive illness, are long-term unemployed, or less able. The next set of classes starts Tuesday 12 May 2009 10.00 - 12 noon and Thursday 14 May 10.00 - 12 noon (both for 6 weeks). Also available is the Drop in Facility for those who have attended previously. Contact Glynne at the Volunteer Centre for more information.
